With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Richard Wayne Carron on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the age of 55.
Richard is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Sherry Carron, who was his soulmate and best friend. He was the proud and loving father of Tiffany and Rebecca Carron and the adoring Papa to his grandchildren: Brooklyn, Hailey, Loghan, Keira, Bentley, Avery, Quinton, and Aalyrah. He is also remembered by his parents, Raylene and Terry Carron, and his siblings, Terry Jr., Terrilynn, Tammy, Michelle, Connie, Mark, Beth and Walter. His loyal dog, Tika, will miss him dearly, as will his extended family and countless friends.
Richard’s passing came during a season he cherished—a time when his joy, warmth, and kindness were shared with everyone around him. A man of immense generosity, Richard was always the first to lend a helping hand, whether to a close friend or a complete stranger. His kindness and compassion left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A devoted family man, Richard’s life revolved around his loved ones. He found his greatest joy in his wife, children, and grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His bond with Sherry was unbreakable, built on a foundation of love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Richard embraced life’s simple pleasures. Whether hunting, fishing, or working on cars, he approached everything with passion and skill. A true jack of all trades, he was just as comfortable renovating a home as he was sewing a dress or baking a wedding cake. But perhaps his greatest gift was his ability to listen, to offer comfort through his warm hugs and heartfelt advice, and his ability to put smiles on the faces of everyone around him.
Richard’s selfless spirit, funny nature, gentle heart, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered forever. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to Richard’s visitation on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).
