The Lambton Kent District School Board is introducing the Black Excellence in Education award at the Chatham-Kent Black Excellence Awards to honor educators making a lasting impact on students and communities.

Held monthly at the Book Keeper, A Queer Little Book Club has become a welcoming space for Sarnia’s LGBT community to connect, share stories, and build friendships through a love of reading.

Ms. Amanda Villa hosts the popular storytime at The Book Keeper on the last Saturday of the month.

The event, now in its second year, is an initiative by North Lambton Community Health Centre and their TeaMWork services, which aim to provide resources to the large population of migrant workers throughout Lambton County.

Lambton College recently added another award to its already abundant trophy case.
