The local teen and Sarnia Rapids Swim Club member won four medals at the event held in Halifax Nova, Scotia, where she represented Team Ontario in the U14 division.
Page competed in several events, including preliminary rounds and finals — racing a total of 12 times and marking a personal best in eight of those events.
She won gold in the 4x100 freestyle relay, 4x100 medley relay and 4x50 medley relay, while also earning a bronze medal in the 50m backstroke.
Page also placed 4th in the 50m butterfly, 4th in the 200m backstroke, 6th in the 100m backstroke, and 8th in the 100m freestyle.
The 10th annual North American Indigenous Games, held July 15-23, brought together more than 5,000 athletes, coaches and team staff from 756+ Indigenous Nations to celebrate through sport and culture. The event boasted 16 sports within 21 venues across Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Dartmouth, Millbrook First Nation and Sipekne’katik.
