Bluewater Health is preparing for the arrival of a new CT scanner next year that will create quicker, easier and less stressful 3D diagnostic images of the human body.
A $2.4-million project now underway includes renovations to the hospital’s diagnostic imaging department, plus a backup scanner, seen here with department director Dr. Youssef Almalki.
The dual-purpose backup unit is capable of both nuclear radiation imaging and CT imaging.
The Bluewater Health Foundation has reached 30% of its fundraising target.
