Crock A Doodle, a longtime favorite for local families and art enthusiasts, is celebrating its grand opening at a new location in Sarnia from February 7 to 9. The creative hub, known for its paint-your-own pottery experience, is now under the ownership of Renée Laliberté, who was determined to keep the studio alive after its previous location inside the Superstore closed.
“My family has always loved painting pottery together,” Laliberté said. “When we heard Crock A Doodle was closing, we knew we couldn't lose such a gem from our community.” After discussing the opportunity with her husband and daughters, she decided to take the leap and reopen the studio in a new space at 1249 London Rd.
Since reopening in November 2024, the studio has been warmly welcomed by the community. It has already hosted birthday parties, corporate events, and school groups, with plans to expand programming to include Baby Print Parties, Kids Night Out events, and Paint Nights for adults.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide a new and exciting space to share creative and fun experiences for our community,” said Laliberté. “Pottery painting is an activity our family has enjoyed doing together for years. It’s truly an experience for everyone—and you get a handcrafted memento to keep forever too!”
The grand opening weekend will take place from February 7 to 9, featuring pottery painting, a spinning prize wheel, giveaways, and an appearance from the studio’s mascot, Doodle Bug.
Laliberté emphasized the studio’s commitment to fostering creativity and connection in Sarnia. “We’re excited to continue providing a space where people of all ages can come together, create, and make memories.”
