Sarnia's music lovers, mark your calendars for September 21st, 2024. The Rock It Up Music Festival is returning with a full day of performances at the Imperial City Brewhouse. This year’s event features two stages and nine bands, ensuring continuous music from start to finish.

The festival started as a passion project inspired by Darren Flower, a Mississauga native, and long-time friend of the current organizer, Arron Sisson. "Darren started Rock It Up many years before I got involved. He ran a weekly radio show and played in a band called Stone River, which opened for The Black Crowes at Bayfest in 2008," Arron explains. This festival has grown over the years, becoming a staple in Sarnia’s music scene.

This year’s lineup offers a diverse mix of genres. From the progressive rock sounds of Brass Camel and Daniel Walton & The Dreamland Band to the Southern Rock Revival vibes of Wayward Saints, there’s something for everyone. Arron highlights the inclusion of Brothers Wilde, a country band known for their energetic live performances, adding another exciting element to the event.

Among the many acts, Vancouver's prog-funk band Brass Camel returns to Sarnia, while Windsor’s Case the Joint and local favorites The Rapids promise to keep the energy high throughout the night. With two stages, the music will keep flowing without interruption, creating a memorable experience for all attendees.

Arron hopes that the festival will continue to grow, eventually expanding into a multi-day event. This year, Rock It Up has partnered with Imperial City Brew House and Mr. Chip to enhance the overall experience. Arron is also looking to involve more local businesses in future events.

The Rock It Up Music Festival is set to be a highlight of the year for Sarnia’s music scene. Tickets are available at revelree.ca/rockitup with advance tickets priced at $15 and $25 at the door. Doors open at 7 PM. Don’t miss out on what promises to be an unforgettable night of music.
