The Sarnia Sting have signed forward Dylan Luecke to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement, the club announced recently.
After spending the 2022-23 season with the St. Louis AAA Blues 15U team, the 5’11”, 150-pound St. Louis, MO, native was selected by the Sting in the 12th round with the 237th overall pick in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection on April 21.
“Dylan is a player we were very intrigued by last season,” said general manager Dylan Seca in a news release. “A skilled winger who is just scratching the surface with his overall development.
“He's a young prospect that has the tools to be an effective player in our league.”
Luecke will continue his development with the Oakland Jr Grizzlies U16 in Michigan this winter, Seca added.
Luecke tallied five goals and six assists through 12 regular season games in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League this season before joining the Fort Zumwalt North Panthers and collecting 21 points in 11 games played.
