An impressive six holes-in-one were recorded on the course at the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club (SGCC) in July, officials say.
“As far a six holes in one in a month, it seems to have doubled the average,” said associate professional Darrick Harrop. “In looking back as far as 2017, the average during peak months is three holes-in-one per month."
On July 3, Thomas Moxley shot his third hole-in-one on Hole 12 with his 54-degree wedge, from 119 yards.
Three days later, as part of the club’s Men’s Member-Guest Tournament Shot-Gun, Tyler MacLaren sank a hole-in-one on his first shot of the day. His group started on Hole 3, and his shot was made from 180 yards using his seven-iron.
Gerry Hines, also on the third hole, scored a hole-in-one on July 11, using a six-iron from 160 yards.
On July 14, Sandra Vanos sunk a hole-in-one using her seven-iron on Hole 12, from 117 yards.
Jeff Allen sunk his hole-in-one on July 17, using his seven-iron from 148 yards.
On July 29, Robert Kirk recorded his third hole-in-one. Kirk drained his 140-yard shot on the third hole, using his eight-iron, according to the SGCC
