The Sarnia Sting U11 ‘A’ team went undefeated to win gold in the U11 Bristol Alliance Championship at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford earlier this month.
The Jr. Sting defeated the London Purple Mustangs, 2-1, the Hamilton Huskies 3-2, and the Brantford 99ers, 4-0, securing their ticket to the championship game against the Mustangs.
London took a one-point lead before the Sting tied it up in the second period, eventually heading into overtime.
The Sting scored the winning 2-1 goal, securing the championship, and marking the team’s second consecutive gold in this tournament.
