At 5am on Sunday September 8, 2024, Sarnia Police patrol officers responded to an alarm at a commercial business on Vidal Street South. Officers contained the property and a search located a male in a pickup truck near a hole in the perimeter fence. The male claimed to be an employee but was unable to provide substantive information. A second male was located hiding in the bed of the pickup truck concealing bolt cutters. Both were placed under arrest.
SPS K9 attended to search the remainder of the property for additional suspects (none were located).
A 28 year old of Sarnia, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
- Break and Enter
- Mischief Under $5000
- Possession of Break In Tools
- Breach of Probation
A 23 year old of Sarnia, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
- Break and Enter
- Mischief Under $5000
