Sarnia Police Arrest Two Individuals in Drug Investigation

On July 26th at 11:30am, SPS plain clothes officers observed the suspicious behavior of two individuals in the area of Elgin Street and Napier Street in Sarnia.  Two occupants of a yellow pickup truck were observed by police to display behaviour consistent with drug trafficking.  Several interactions between the truck occupants and pedestrians were observed providing officers with grounds to arrest. 

Officers placed the truck occupants under arrest and a search of the vehicle revealed the following:

  • 24.6 grams of Methamphetamine
  • 1.36 grams of Fentanyl
  • $420

As a result of this investigation, the following charges have been laid:

  • Shane Marsh (51 years of age) of Sarnia
    • Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Katelyn Murray (28 years of age) of Sarnia
    • Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
    • Possession of Fentanyl

The street value of the drugs seized totals $1434.00.  Both accused were held for bail.  They were later released from court with conditions.
