On Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 at approximately 2:00 PM the Sarnia Police Service, Sarnia Fire and Lambton EMS were dispatched to the area of Vidal Street and Huron Boulevard, Sarnia for a serious motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
As a result of the collision, the operator of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by Lambton EMS to a local hospital for immediate care.
Unfortunately, the male motorcyclist (42 years old) eventually succumbed to his injuries while at hospital.
The operator of the pickup truck was unharmed.
The intersection was shut down for a period of time by police but has since been opened up to normal traffic operations. The Traffic Services Unit has taken over the investigation of the collision. No additional information is available at this time.
