“I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to the Sarnia Police Services Board, Chief Derek Davis, and members of the Sarnia Police Service for their support as I transition to a new role as Deputy Chief with the Anishinabek Police Service. This is an unexpected opportunity to serve within a First Nations Police Service and to fulfill a lifelong personal connection to indigenous policing. Although my time with the SPS was not as long as I had planned, I believe much has been accomplished over the last 2 years under the visionary leadership of Chief Davis.
As a strong advocate for creating inclusive and supportive work environments, I want to thank our community and all members of the SPS for both welcoming and supporting me into this organization. Leaving the Sarnia Police Service is one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make throughout my professional career. However I know that through our shared vision of community safety and well-being we will continue to be connected through our service to the citizens of Ontario.
– Deputy Chief Julie Craddock
"Deputy Craddock has had a significant impact on the Sarnia Police Service in her short time with the organization. The Board has appreciated her leadership skills and passion for policing and wishes Deputy Craddock the very best in her new position."
– Sarnia Police Service Board Chair Paul Wiersma
“Deputy Chief Julie Craddock has proven to be an exceptional and influential police leader at local, provincial, and international levels. Her contributions to our community and to the Sarnia Police Service were substantial, and she will be missed. I congratulate her on her new role, and know that she will be an asset to Chief Jeff Skye, APS, and First Nation’s policing in Ontario”
