Brenda Coleen “Ban” Given, peacefully passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, at the age of 72.
Beloved wife of the Late Robert Given (2022). They married in 1975, living in Blenheim, Chatham, Winnipeg, Calgary, and lastly planting their roots in Kettle and Stony Point. Loving mother of two sons, Chris (Selena) Greenbird of Kettle and Stony Point and Chad Given of Port Huron. Adored grandmother of Danielle (Mark) Kraft of Port Huron, Samantha Kraft of Port Huron, Waabigwaan Greenbird of Kettle and Stony Point and John Campbell of Toccoa. Dear great-grandmother of ten great-grandchildren. Brenda is survived by her siblings Arlene, Vonda, Laurie, Wendy, and Randy. Brenda is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Irene Greenbird of Kettle and Stoney Point, great-grandson Benjamin Kraft and siblings, Lucille, Joyce, Veda and Robert.
Ban enjoyed an active life of family trips, camping, bird watching, crafts, cooking, baking are just a few things to name. Brenda loved catching up with her nieces and nephews. She too enjoyed spending time with her sisters’ playing cards and Yahtzee.
Cremation has taken place as per Brenda’s wishes. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Kettle and Stoney Point Hillside Gym, 6265 Indian Lane, Forest, ON N0N 1J1, on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
