Winners have been announced for the ‘Lambton Through the Lens’ Teen Photo Contest.

More than 120 submissions were entered for the contest, offered through Lambton County Library and the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery (JNAAG).

A distinguished panel of jurors — including music and portrait photographer Arden Mailhiot; renowned music photographer Richard Beland; and JNAAG curator Sonya Blazek, selected 25 photographs for the gallery’s upcoming exhibit, based on excellence in the categories of local icons, abstract, and romance of ruin.

“We are continually amazed by the talent and creativity of our local teens,” said Blazek. “This exhibition not only showcases their incredible work but also celebrates the unique perspectives they bring to our community.”

Winners include:

Overall Winner: Isis Belleman-McKeegan
Local Icon: Joey Cantalini
Abstract: Madeline Palleschi
Romance of Ruin: Alexis Brown

In addition to the category winners, the following teens will have their photographs included in this year's exhibition:

Justice Fioroni, Elizabeth Akiwenzie, Conner Freer, Azalynn Campbell, Zoe Simpson, Raveena Duggal, Randi Palmer, Mercy Naus, Livvy Clark, Byron Chu, Ameera Almalki, and Regan Jacklin.

The Lambton Through the Lens exhibition will be open for public viewing at the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery from August 2 to October 12.
