Sarnia Sting assistant coach Jeff Barratt has accepted an amateur scouting position with the NHL’s Boston Bruins.
Barratt has served as an assistant coach behind head coach Derian Hatcher since 2015.
The Quebec native played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 1978 to 1982, and was the director of scouting for the United States Hockey League’s Cedar Rapids Roughriders.
During Barratt’s tenure in Cedar Rapids, 14 players went on to play in the NHL.
