Six local organizations have received funding from the Petrolia Community Fund, with more than $10,000 in grants awarded to support programs and services in the town.

The 2024 grants were announced during a presentation to Petrolia Town Council on March 24, with representatives from the Sarnia Community Foundation (SCF) on hand to share the news.

This year’s recipients include the Petrolia District Skating Club, Petrolia YMCA, Lambton Literacy, Community Refrigerator Group, Lambton Young Theatre, and the Petrolia Enniskillen Agricultural Society.

“We would like to thank the generous donors whose contributions helped grow the Town of Petrolia Community Fund, allowing us to put funding back into the community,” said Irene Clarke, Grants Administrator at the SCF.

Established in 2012, the Petrolia Community Fund is managed in partnership with the Sarnia Community Foundation and supports charitable and non-profit initiatives that benefit the greater Petrolia area.
