In response to “Sarnia social worker recognized for innovation and contributions to her field”.
Dear Editor,
Cindy Shrigley saved my life! She is an amazing person, and I owe her so much. I am from Kerwood/Sarnia and left in 1973 to live in Toronto. College, got married, adopted 3 children with mental health issues, got divorced. My life and it was good. I was in Mid-Manhattan for 9/11. I saw the 2nd plane hit. So stranded there with no planes, no trains and no contact with anyone for many days. All 3 of us, my boss and his wife, finally got a train on the Friday to come back to Niagara Falls, USA and then to Toronto. I was not mentally stable. Just bought a house, on my own in Toronto in Aug. and moving in Oct. So many things.
Cindy worked all through all my trauma with EMDR, Tapping, and other skills she has. She fixed me UP! She deserves this and more awards!
