FRIDAY, MARCH 21

Youth Dance

For children aged eight to 14. Lochiel Kiwanis Centre, 180 North College Street, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Event is supervised by staff from the Boys and Girls Club of Sarnia. The evening features a professional DJ and door prizes. Snacks are available. Before dropping off children, parents are asked to ensure there is room at the dance.

Pete Seeger Tribute

U.S. folksinger Jim Scott performs at the Lawrence House for the Arts, 127 Christina St. S. Scott is a singer-songwriter and friend of the late Pete Seeger, the folk icon. Scott will celebrate his life and invite the audience to sing along to his well-loved songs. Admission, $20, $15 for seniors over 60. For more, call 519-337-0507.

Justice Film Festival

The film The Gatekeepers, which tells the inside story of Israel’s Shin Bet security agency, will shown at the Sarnia Library Theatre. Mountain Climbing, Travel Talk

Landlord and tenant rights

Organ Concert

The Lenten Organ Series continues at Central United Church, corner of Brock and George Streets. Gerald Vreman of Centre Street Baptist Church, St. Thomas, performs a half-hour concert, starting at 12 noon. The public is welcome and encouraged to bring a lunch.  A donation is appreciated. Also scheduled: April 3, Larry Pajuk of All Saint's Anglican Church; April 10, Foster Hill, of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.

Sustainability Seminar

Examining employment trends and the future of work will be Catherine Gordon of the Sarnia Lambton Workforce Development Board, and Judith Morris of Lambton College. Free event, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Lambton College Residence and Event Centre, 1485 London Road.

Teen Talk

The band Chemical Valley will perform a free concert at Stokes Bay Grill and Bar in support of the Noelle’s Gift fund for children in need.

Trivia Night

Bingo for Youth Pilgrimage

The Canada Revenue Agency is holding a free tax clinic at the West Lambton Community Health Centre on Exmouth Street, April 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is designed for people with low incomes and relatively simple tax situations.
