Officials at Gallery in the Grove recently named the winners of their latest juried exhibit it, ‘Where I’m From.’
“It was a difficult process for the jurors,” co-chair Kirsten Kilner Holmes said, pointing to some 100 submissions to the show, inviting established and emerging artists to showcase their own interpretation of ‘Where I’m From.’
“The jurors spent a lot of time with the submissions and accepted 42 pieces into the exhibition.”
The winners, announced over the weekend at a special awards presentation, include:
1st Place: Robert Scott - City Street
2nd Place: Barbara McLeod - Cedar Grove
3rd Place: Leann Wheeler - Lonely Lapping
Honourable Mention: Janet Morris - The Sugar Loaf
Honourable Mention: Taylor Broda - You Can Always Come Home
The exhibition runs through to Saturday, March 23, 2024. Visotors are welcome into the gallery Monday to Thursday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday & Saturday 11a.m. to 2 p.m.
