Sarnia councillor Brian White is seeking to become the Warden of Lambton County.

He is one of three candidates running for the county’s highest office. Lambton’s 17 councillors are scheduled to hold a secret-ballot election Dec. 2.

The other candidates are incumbent warden and Lambton Shores Mayor Bill Weber, and Enniskillen Mayor Kevin Marriott, currently the deputy warden.

White said if elected his focus would be on poverty, addictions and housing.

“As we face greater budget pressures I want to make sure that our province doesn’t leave these concerns behind,” he said.

Sarnia councillor Mike Stark is one of three county councillors seeking the job of deputy warden.

Lambton County is comprised of 11 municipalities, including the City of Sarnia.
