The main acts have been announced for the Sarnia International Powerboat Festival.

Tom Cochrane and Red Rider will headline the Aug. 8 concert while The Trews will take the riverfront stage Aug. 7, organizers say.

Cochrane, a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, boasts a string of hits including Life is a Highway, Lunatic Fringe and Mad Mad World.

The Trews, who call Sarnia their second home, have chart-toppers that include Not Ready to Go and Hold Me in Your Arms.

Concert tickets start at $40 and are available at Stoke’s Bay, Stoke’s Inland and online (www.sarniapowerboats.com)

The three-day Powerboat Festival is Sarnia’s largest and features boat racing on the river, live music, street shows and family entertainment.

Support acts and daytime activities will be announced at a later date, spokesperson Michele Stokley said.
