An outbreak of COVID-19 at Sarnia’s Vision Nursing Home continues to spread.
One more resident and two additional staff have tested positive for the virus, Lambton Public Health said this morning.
Fourteen residents and 10 staff have now been infected since the outbreak was declared April 23 at the Wellington Street long-term care home.
Four residents have died.
The three new cases increase Sarnia-Lambton’s total number to 225 cases.
Nineteen people have died, unchanged from Sunday.
Outbreaks are also ongoing at two other city senior homes, Marshall Gowland Manor (one resident) and Village on the St. Clair (two residents).
A total of 5,149 COVID-19 tests have been administered, with 4% coming back positive.
