The Erie Otters will provide the opposition on Friday, Sept. 25 when the Sarnia Sting open a new Ontario Hockey League season on home ice.
It's a rematch of last year's first round playoff series, which saw the Otters come from a game down to defeat the Sting in five games. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
But the Otters will be without Connor McDavid, who was taken first overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL draft in June.
The Sting continue its opening weekend home stand entertaining Kingston on Sunday at 2:05 p.m., before embarking on the first road trip of the season, with stops in Barrie, North Bay and Sudbury.
