One hundred local high school students are participating in a new program teaching financial literacy.
The program was made possible by a $25,600 Trillium Foundation grant and is being tested by Junior Achievement of South Western Ontario in Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex as well.
The Secondary School Financial Literacy Program will teach students how to budget, understand credit, plan a career path and be more savvy consumers.
The course will be taught by five volunteers from RBC Royal Bank in Sarnia and presented in a conference-style format at the Best Western Plus Guildwood Inn.
