Bob Bailey has a new job at Queen’s Park
The MPP for Sarnia-Lambton was appointed critic for democratic reform and intergovernmental affairs with the Conservatives last week.
Party Leader Patrick Brown also tagged Bailey to return as the opposition deputy whip when the Legislature resumed business Monday.
Bailey said he sees the new role as a chance to push the government for support on two local initiatives – an oversize load corridor to help heavy manufacturers get their products to market, and the SABER project, which is lobbying for a $10-billion oil refinery in Sarnia-Lambton.
