The prognosis for a new health education centre at Lambton College is looking much brighter thanks to a $20-million pledge from the federal and provincial governments.
The boost announced June 24 came just two days after the college had launched a $45-million capital campaign at the Sarnia campus.
The Envision Tomorrow campaign aims to raise money for the $30-million health education centre and a $12-million recreation and fitness complex, with the remaining $3 million earmarked an equipment renewal program.
Officials say a health centre will aid the college’s long-term viability and place it in the forefront of education and research.
