Sarnia Police say its criminal investigations branch is looking into a June 25 house fire on Murphy Road.
Sarnia Fire and Rescue responded around 1:45 a.m. to the home at 978 Murphy, near Wiltshire, and found flames shooting through the roof at the rear of the home, Sarnia Fire Platoon Chief John Bernier said.
People were in the home at the time, and all of them were able to get out safely. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters summoned from four fire halls were able to contain the flames, but heat and smoke damage to the rest of the structure was extensive, Bernier said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sarnia Police Detective Const. Leo Murphy, at 519-344-8861, ext. 6142, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477
