Sarnia Police are asking the public for any information about, or video surveillance of, a crash Saturday at Lakeshore and Christina streets that left a vehicle’s front wheels on the roof of a house.

Police initially received a report of a two-car collision at Christina and Michigan Avenue around 6:40 p.m. No one was injured in that crash, but when officers arrived they found one of the vehicles had left the scene.

Shortly after, police received another call, this one about a car striking a house where Christina Street curves into Lakeshore Road.

A hydro pole was clipped and taken out.

The car stopped only after striking a vehicle parked in a nearby driveway and climbing up the house, leaving its rear wheels on the ground and front wheels on the home’s roof.

Sarnia firefighters and Lambton paramedics were able to remove the driver from the upright white sedan.

The driver was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, and has since been released, police said.

Residents of the home were not injured, but the property damage is extensive, police said.

The traffic unit and forensic identification branch are investigating.

Anyone with information about either collision — at Michigan and Christina, or Christina and Lakeshore — is asked to call Const. Ron Szabo at 519-344-8861, ext. 6127.

Police are also hoping someone may have video surveillance recorded on Aug. 29, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and and 7 p.m. of Christina Street between Michigan Avenue and Lakeshore Road.
