Sarnia has changed the rules to allow recreational vehicle parking in the front yard of homes from May 1 to Oct. 31.
Motor homes, boats, and trailers must continue to be parked in the rear or side yard during the winter months.
The move reverses a decision made in 2015 after residents complained their neighbours’ RVs were unsightly, blocked the view, and created a safety hazard.

The new “balanced approach” will be tried for one year.
