Six former members of the Lambton Junior Sting organization played an integral role in helping the Chatham-Kent Cyclones to a top four finish at the recent OHL Cup in Toronto.
The 20-team tournament determines the best Midget "AAA" hockey team in Ontario.
After advancing through the preliminary round with wins over a pair top ten rated squads, the Cyclones beat Guelph 3-2 in the quarter-finals, but fell 6-2 to eventual champion Toronto Marlboros in the semi-finals.
"All the kids from Lambton played great," said Cyclones coach Ken Gagner, referring to forwards Ryan Greenaway and Jarrett Marks, defenceman Dawson Vautour, Patrick Wright and Brett Barnes and goaltender Anthony Hurtubise.
"They all worked their butts off."
In fact, Marks was among the tournament leaders in goals with five in six games.
"A lot of scouts were asking about our players," Gagner said. "So, we'll have to wait and see what will happen."
