The Sarnia Police Service have continued to investigate the kidnapping on Stuart Street in Sarnia. Since the initial investigation, officers have executed a search warrant on a vehicle seized in relation to this kidnapping. During the search, police located brass knuckles which are classified as a prohibited weapon.
Investigators have also identified all persons involved.
In addition to the male that has been arrested for this kidnapping, another male was identified, the same person arrested on Christina Street for an outstanding arrest warrant and at the time of his arrest, he found to have a quantity of fentanyl and cocaine in his possession. The remaining two persons involved are still outstanding and there are warrants for their arrest.
All persons responsible and their updated charges are listed below:
a 30-year old of Sarnia was remanded into custody after his arrest and has since appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on January 17, 2025 for the below charges:
- Kidnapping
- Break and enter
- Forcible confinement (Newly added)
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (Newly added)
a 41-year old of Sarnia was remanded into custody on the original drug charges and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on January 24, 2025 and will face the additional charges below:
- Kidnapping
- Break and enter
- Mischief under $5000
- Forcible confinement
- Fail to comply with a release order
a 37 year old of Sarnia remains outstanding and a warrant had been obtained for his arrest for the following offences:
- Kidnapping
- Break and enter
- Mischief under $5000
- Forcible confinement
a 43 year old of Sarnia remains outstanding and a warrant had been obtained for her arrest for the following offences:
- Kidnapping
- Break and enter
- Mischief under $5000
- Forcible confinement
- Assault
Police continue to look for remaining suspects and are encouraging them to surrender themselves to police. Anyone with information on their whereabouts are asked to contact police or crimestoppers.
