Three people were arrested and more than $11,000 worth of drugs was seized after police executed a search warrant in Sarnia this week.
Sarnia Police say officers with the Vice Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Walnut Ave. in Sarnia, around 1:18 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10.
“Three individuals were located inside the residence and were arrested without incident,” a news release noted. “Officers from the Vice Unit conducted a thorough search, uncovering and seizing approximately 94.1 grams of powder cocaine, 1.68 grams of crack cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and $1,600 in cash.”
The total estimated street value of the seized drugs is $11,460.
The individuals, aged 40, 42 and 43, all from Sarnia, face joint charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, and possession of property obtained by crime.
All three were later released with a future court date as legal proceedings unfold.
