Three people were arrested in connection to a drug bust on Vimy Cres. in Sarnia this week.
Police say officers with the Sarnia Police Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Vice Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant at the home around 6:11 p.m. on Jan. 23.
“During the operation, three individuals were located inside the residence and subsequently arrested,” police said in a news release. “A thorough search of the property unveiled a significant quantity of controlled substances, including 76.30 grams of fentanyl, 2.69 grams of cocaine, along with $120 in currency, scales, drug packaging material, and a loaded sawed-off single-barrel shotgun.”
The arrested individuals, two Sarnia residents and one London resident, face a range of charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a loaded prohibited firearm with ammunition.
Following a bail hearing, all parties have been remanded into custody as the investigation continues, police added.
