Theft from Motor Vehicles

On July 15th, 2024, members of the Sarnia Police Service responded to the area of Trinity Crescent and Errol Road to investigate a report of a suspicious person.

Responding officers located a bicycle leaning up against the front of a motor vehicle.  When the officers approached the vehicle, a male party was observed rummaging through the center console. As the officers got his attention, he immediately closed the door and locked himself in the vehicle. After a brief negotiation, the male opened the door and was arrested without incident.

A 40 year old male suspect of Sarnia has been charged with:

  • Possession of stolen property under $5000,
  • Possession of break-and-enter instruments,
  • Trespass by night
  • Failing to comply with a release order.

The suspect was held for a bail hearing.

Residents in the area of Trinity Crescent and Errol Road are asked to check their motor vehicles for missing property and to contact Police at 519-6344-8861 extension 0 to report if anyting has been stolen from their motor vehicles.
