Yesterday, the Sarnia Police Service held a successful joint training exercise involving our Emergency Response Team, Critical Incident Commanders, K9, Negotiators, and Operational Units. The purpose of this exercise was to ensure that our teams are fully prepared to respond to high-risk incidents within our community.
These training sessions are essential for maintaining the high level of readiness and skill required to keep Sarnia and the surrounding areas safe. In line with the new training requirements outlined in the Community Safety and Policing Act, exercises like these ensure that the Sarnia Police Service fully complies with updated regulatory standards. Each member involved is highly trained, with a commitment to continually refining their abilities in complex, high-stakes scenarios.
We extend our deepest thanks to the Aamjiwnaang Community for graciously allowing us to conduct this training exercise on their land. Their support is invaluable, and we are grateful for their collaboration in helping us ensure the safety and well-being of our entire community.
