On November 7, 2024, at around 8:20 a.m., Sarnia Police responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Berkshire Road.
The incident involved a 33-year-old suspect, who allegedly attacked a man in his early 50s with a knife. After being struck multiple times, the victim managed to escape the residence and call for help. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital.
Thanks to the swift action of Sarnia Police officers in the Operations Division, the suspect was arrested shortly after the incident. He faces charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. The suspect was remanded into custody after his arrest and bail hearing.
