On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, shortly after 10:15 am the Sarnia Police Service and Lambton EMS attended at the intersection of Christina Street North & George Street, Sarnia for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
A 69-year-old male pedestrian was struck near the intersection by a pickup truck. He was transported by Lambton EMS to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The male driver of the pickup was uninjured.
The intersection was subsequently shut down for a period of time but has since been re-opened.
The Sarnia Police Service - Traffic Services Unit is investigating the collision and further updates will be shared as they become available.
