On July 11, 2024, members of the Sarnia Police Service, along with our partners at Canada Border Services attended the Inn of the Good Sheppard, in the City of Sarnia, to locate a 28 year old suspect.
The suspect continued to be a source of problems at locations which cater to the city’s homeless population, including: Rainbow Park, the Inn of the Good Shepherd, and River City Vineyard.
The suspect had accumulated nineteen (19) criminal charges, in the City of Sarnia, since July 2, 2024. As a result of the suspects previous criminal convictions, his outstanding criminal charges and his repeated involvement with police, the suspect was deemed a threat to public safety. As a result, and in consultation/collaboration with CBSA, was arrested by members of the Sarnia Police Service under the authority of section 55 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Garcon was immediately handed over to members of Canada Border Services to determine his immigration status.
