Dear Editor:
Re: Support for new SARNIA sign split down the middle
Regarding the new SARNIA sign: I can't stop wondering why we would spend over $100,000 on an item that requires powering and will deteriorate over time and reads backwards from the water side.
That money could have been spent so much more wisely.
If you want something new in Centennial park, how about something beautiful that is natural and sustainable ... and perhaps even edible (I'm all for planting edibles!).
More bike lanes would be a better spend.
The SARNIA sign is not going to attract tourists and we have a whole waterfront, lake and bridge to stand in front of for pics.
