It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Michael James MacDougall announce his passing. In the comfort of his home on the morning of Sunday February 18, 2024, at the age of 73.
Beloved husband of Linda MacDougall of 45 years. Loving father of Jordan (Leah Lacroix) and Jace (Jenny Laird). Adored pops of Niah, Callum, Liam and grand dog Doogie. Mike is predeceased by his parents Winnogene (neé Blakie) and Neil MacDougall, In-laws Jeanne and Jack Rodger, sister-in-laws Janice Pelletier, Heather Trauqair, and his dog Mac.
Mike was born in Sarnia, Ontario. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed being on the water with his family and friends. Mike competed annually in local fishing derbies along the shores of Lake Huron. He and his sons took first prize with a great catch of a 13.5-pound Rainbow Trout.
After his retirement from the Pipefitters Local 663, Mike and Linda enjoyed spending their time together on the shoreline of Lake Huron, often entertaining their grandchildren.
As per Mike’s wishes Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
