Two individuals, ages 59 and 62 from Sarnia, face charges after police seized more than $13,000 worth of drugs at a Sarnia home last week.
Members of the Sarnia Police Emergency Response Team and the Sarnia Police Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Cotterbury Street on March 27, where two individuals were arrested without incident, police said in a news release.
A search of the residence uncovered a significant quantity of controlled substances, including:
- 87.84 grams of fentanyl
- 15.67 grams of cocaine
- 13.74 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- 12 Ecstasy pills
Also located were a large quantity of prescription pain medication and cash:
- 84- 8mg Dilaudid pills
- 98 – 9mg Hydromorphone Contin pills
- 3 – 18mg Hydromorphone Contin pills
- $2,990 in Canadian currency and $286 in American currency.
The arrested individuals, age 62 and 59, of Sarnia, are both charged with the following criminal offences:
- 6 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
Both were held for a bail hearing.
The total street value of the drugs seized is approximately $13,176.
