Tourism Sarnia-Lambton’s Discover Sarnia-Lambton Gift Card Program is returning for 2024, just in time for the holiday season, the agency says.

“The Tourism Sarnia-Lambton gift card program has received significant recognition and has been one of the most successful tourism and supporting local business initiatives across the country,” said executive director Mark Perrin.

The program began as a recovery lifeline, creating another revenue stream for the tourism industry partners while supporting the local economy, he added, noting that more than $500,000 in gift cards have been purchased as part of the program since 2021, supporting hundreds of local businesses with more than $3.5 million in economic impact.

“Many tourism businesses still face significant challenges with the labour shortage and rising costs of interest rates and inflation,” Perrin added. “Tourism Sarnia-Lambton is continuously developing and implementing economic drivers, programming, and marketing campaigns that are critical in attracting visitors and promoting vibrant municipalities, while supporting our tourism and business economy within Lambton County.”

The gift cards are available in $10, $25 and $50 and can be redeemed at more than 300 local businesses in Lambton County.

TSL is encouraging all companies and individuals who would typically purchase gift cards this holiday season, to purchase the Discover Sarnia-Lambton Gift Cards, as 100% of the purchase directly supports local businesses. All previous 2021, 2022 and 2023 “red, green and orange” gift cards continue to remain valid throughout 2024, and anyone with a gift card from a past year is encouraged to make a purchase with it and support our local businesses whenever possible. Gift cards can be purchased in person at Tourism Sarnia-Lambton (1455 Venetian Blvd in Point Edward), or online at DiscoverSarniaLambton.com.

Full program details and a list of redemption locations can be found at DiscoverSarniaLambton.com.
