Sarnia residents now have a new option for healthcare services with the opening of Shoppers Drug Mart’s first Pharmacy Care Clinic. The clinic, led by Associate-Owner Saher (Sara) Elbashir, began serving patients on November 4 and offers treatment for a range of common health concerns.

The clinic provides assessment and treatment for 19 minor ailments covered under OHIP, including urinary tract infections (UTIs), yeast infections, pink eye, hives, morning sickness, sprains, and dermatitis. It features private examination rooms, a care concierge desk, and a comfortable waiting area to ensure patient privacy and convenience.

“Far too many Canadians don’t have access to primary care, and our community is no exception,” said Elbashir. “The clinic will give Sarnia residents more options for accessing the care they need and deserve, increasing capacity across the broader health system.”

The clinic, located at 600 murphy road, operates from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Patients can book appointments by calling (519) 383-8300 or using the PC Health App. Walk-ins are also accepted, based on availability.

Since opening, the clinic has received positive feedback from patients. “To date, customers and patients alike have been pleased with their experience. I look forward to serving the health and well-being of the community and sincerely thank the residents of Sarnia for the warm welcome,” added Elbashir.
