Sarnia Transit invites residents to share their experiences and ideas for improving public transportation. A new survey aims to gather input on service gaps, transit accessibility, and how riders access information.

Sarnia Transit is looking to its riders for their feedback and opinions on how to improve service.

A Sarnia Transit Ridership Survey was launched on November 20 and will remain open until December 20 at 4 p.m. The survey asks riders about their experiences and needs related to the city’s public transportation service. Questions focus on areas in Sarnia that could benefit from additional service and how transit information is accessed.

The survey is part of ongoing efforts to engage directly with riders to learn more about their needs and ultimately inform recommendations for short- and medium-term service improvements.

“We’re always reviewing our ridership data and looking for ways we can better serve both new and existing passengers,” says Transit Manager Michelle Carter. “As part of that effort, we want to hear from those who utilize transit, and those who may not, on what barriers they face, what’s working, and where we can shift resources to better serve their needs.”

The survey is available online at www.speakupsarnia.ca/Transit2024, with paper copies also accessible on City buses.
