Three Sarnia residents were arrested last week as part of a multi-jurisdiction investigation involving dozens of drugs and weapons charges, OPP say.
The arrests took place Nov. 8 after search warrants were executed at two locations — one in Lambton and the other in Middlesex County — by members of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) London, and the Middlesex, Oxford, Brant and Lambton County Street Crime Units (CSCU).
At around 4:45 p.m., police stopped a vehicle and arrested two people, seizing a quantity of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine.
“Police then subsequently executed a warrant at a residence on George Street in Sarnia, where they took one individual into custody without incident,” a news release stated. “A short time later, police executed a second warrant at a residence on Creamery Road in Ailsa Craig, where an additional six individuals were arrested without incident.”
A total of nine individuals were arrested — from Sarnia, Ailsa Craig and London.
Police seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, along with five weapons, cell phones, drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash.
The OPP West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit and members of the Sarnia Police Service assisted with the execution of the warrant.
