A 43-year-old man was arrested after another man was shot with a BB gun in Sarnia, Tuesday, police say.
Sarnia Police officers responded to a 9-1-1 call in the area of Talfourd and Proctor Streets around 4 p.m., after reports that two men had been fighting, and one was shot by a BB gun.
The accused was located in the area of Brock and Wellington Streets a short time later.
“He was safely detained and a search resulted in a loaded CO2-powered BB gun being found concealed in the waistband of his pants,” a news release stated. “Additionally, knives were found hidden and in the possession of the accused in a manner that is in breach of his pre-existing weapons prohibition.
“The victim who was struck by the BBs was located, had suffered minor injuries and left the area not wanting to be involved with a police investigation.”
The accused faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon; possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose; failure to comply with probation and failure to comply with release order.
