The 2025 edition of Race to Erase is set for Saturday, May 31, bringing the community together once again for a high-energy, city-wide challenge in support of local charities.

Unlike traditional races, Race to Erase is not a running event. Teams of four will travel across Sarnia completing a series of interactive tasks designed to test teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. Along the way, participants will engage with local businesses and non-profits, while raising funds for the charity of their choice.

There is no entry fee, but each team is asked to raise a minimum of $500, with all funds going directly to one of nine participating organizations: The Inn of the Good Shepherd, The Women’s Interval Home, SWONT Conductive Education, Errol Road Public School, River City Vineyard, Pathways Health Centre for Children, Literacy Lambton, St. Clair Child & Youth Services, or That Girl’s Got Moxie.

The event is organized in partnership with the Hashtag Charitable Foundation (#charitable), which supports local non-profits by connecting them with community-driven fundraising initiatives. Since its inception, #charitable has supported more than 30 organizations, helping to foster collaboration between citizens, businesses, and charities.

“As we approach the 20th anniversary of the first Race to Erase, my fellow co-founder Scott McKay and I can’t help but reflect on the incredible impact this event has had,” said Rich Bouchard, co-founder of Race to Erase and Executive Director of the Hashtag Charitable Foundation.

Registration for Race to Erase 2025 is now open at sarnia2025.racetoerase.com. “Our goal is to bring together at least 40 teams for another unforgettable event,” Bouchard added. “More teams mean more fundraising, a greater community impact, and of course, an exciting day of friendly competition and fun.”
