Police continue to investigate what’s now being called a drive-by shooting in a residential neighbourhood in Sarnia this week.
In an updated news release issued Friday, the Sarnia Police Service says the incident occurred in the 100 block of Fairview Place at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
“An unknown party, indiscriminately launched a volley of rapid-fire gunshots into a family dwelling from the area of the roadway, while passing in a vehicle,” police stated. “These bullets penetrated the exterior of the family dwelling.
“Thankfully, none of the occupants of the dwelling house were struck by the bullets as they entered the home.”
The home is located in Cardiff Acres, surrounded by family dwellings, police added.
Police are asking anyone with information, or home video surveillance in the area, to contact the Criminal Investigations Division.
