Point Edward’s Christmas in the Village is set to take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, offering a variety of activities and events along Michigan Avenue. The annual tradition brings the community together with family-friendly attractions, local food, and festive fun.

Point Edward’s Christmas in the Village is set to return for its 13th year on Saturday, December 7, 2024, bringing holiday cheer to Michigan Avenue between Livingston and St. Clair Streets. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring festive activities, local food, and community traditions for all ages to enjoy.

Event Highlights:

  • Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Community Hall.
  • Enjoy horse and buggy rides departing from the Community Hall.
  • Take part in cookie decorating and a bake sale at St. Paul’s Church.
  • Cast your vote in the gingerbread competition.
  • Create festive crafts with cider and cookies at the Point Edward Library.
  • Listen to live music from the Resolution Quartet.
  • Try face painting with The Painted Cat at Fries by Albert and Suzy’s Ice Creamporium.
  • Warm up with hot chocolate and cookies at the Fire Hall.
  • Roast s’mores by the campfire at Manley’s Basics.

Food and refreshments are central to the event, with ham and cheese sandwiches served at the Community Hall courtesy of the Point Edward Optimist Club. A food drive and charity bake sale at Fries by Albert and Suzy’s Ice Creamporium will allow attendees to exchange non-perishable food donations for fries, hot dogs, or drinks.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, local realty groups will host ornament decorating at the REMAX office, while a travelling photo booth will make its way through the village. For coffee lovers, the Barista Challenge at Bonski’s Café, Bridge Patisserie, Marcin Bowl, and Los Puntos Cantina will offer a unique way to celebrate the season.

To make it easier to enjoy all that Christmas in the Village has to offer, a complimentary shuttle service, courtesy of Wight Bus Lines, will loop from the Livingston Street parking lot, with stops at all the major attractions.
